Editorial Policy

1. Tahaqaq adheres to all international standards aimed at rejecting violence, extremism, discrimination, and hate speech and supports political, sectarian, and intellectual pluralism.

2. Tahaqaq respects all international standards, values cultural diversity, and commits not to infringe upon or insult others’ rights, nor use any form of hate speech and works to promote a culture of tolerance and mutual respect through its content and activities.

3. Tahaqaq adopts terminologies and vocabularies endorsed by international law and United Nations institutions concerning the Palestinian issue and its legal and humanitarian status. It seeks to clarify facts and correct misinformation about the Palestinian cause.

4. Tahaqaq upholds the right to access accurate information, ensuring the public’s full right to access truthful information freely and ensure the dissemination of accurate information to the public within established standards and methodologies. Also Tahaqaq utilizes various tools and platforms, such as its website and social media, to disseminate accurate information.

5. Entities, individuals, groups, and institutions have the right not to have their image tarnished through manipulation, distortion, or fabrication of news and information. Therefore, Tahaqaq corrects misinformation objectively and integrity. It collaborates with relevant entities to combat misinformation.

6. Tahaqaq believes in press freedom and rejects all forms of censorship and defends the rights of journalists and their freedom to express opinions without fear or threat.

7. Tahaqaq respects the code of conduct adopted by the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate. It adheres to the principles and ethics of the journalism profession, such as credibility, honesty, and accuracy.

8. Tahaqaq rejects any attempt by any entity to influence its editorial policy based on principles of credibility and integrity. It ensures its independence and neutrality in all its content and activities.

9. Tahaqaq values public opinions regarding the development of its work through their right to express opinions and adhere to media education principles and best practices.

10. Tahaqaq’s editorial policy remains within the framework of development and updates without compromising journalistic principles or the observatory’s integrity, credibility, and reliability of its work.
