The circulation of the video comes in the context of the “Pallywood” campaign, which casts doubt on the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza in light of the ongoing Israeli war there.

According to what he told “Tahaqaq”, the photographer published the scenes of the work through his Tiktok account on February 15, 2022. He published the entire film on his Instagram account on March 1, 2022.

To clarify the details of the film, the Observatory team contacted the film’s photographer, the Palestinian journalist Mahmoud Maher Zaqout, who explained to “Tahaqaq” that he filmed the movie for the Civil Defense Service, noting that the circulating scene behind the scenes of the artistic work highlights the suffering of the Palestinian Civil Defense during their work in Wars, which embodies the targeting of civil defense crews during their work in the previous war, On the Gaza Strip in 2021. It was filmed in the Al-Baidar area in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that the child who appears in the scene is called Hamada Shamlakh.

In addition, Israeli and other accounts supporting Israel continue to launch a campaign questioning the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza as a result of the ongoing war there, and accusing them of fabricating their suffering under the names “Pallywood” and “Gazawood,” which the “Tahaqaq” Observatory has previously refuted in previous reports.
