The video is a theatrical scene in front of the White House in Washington, DC, depicting the massacres during the war in Gazan it. 

Western accounts on X shared a video showing young men, a girl, and a journalist in a theatrical scene simulating their exposure to shelling and gunfire. After the video went viral, some people commented, within the context of the “Pallywood” campaign, saying, “These theatre majors auditioning for Pallywood are so ridiculous Hamas might just surrender simply to put a stop to this type of cringe activism”, and in a similar context, “The Pallywood Theater Company performs at the White House, was Kamala invited?”, and others in other languages, such as French.

The Palestinian Observatory “Tahaqaq” traced the circulated video and its authenticity by researching public sources, and it was found that the video is a theatrical scene in front of the White House in the US capital, Washington, DC, to depict the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing Israeli war on the territory, and not by Palestinians fabricating their injuries and victims as they claimed.

The scene was prepared by the activist Hazami Barmada , who posted the original video on her official Instagram account on December 27, 2023, and commented on it.

She accompanied it with a caption, saying, “No one is safe in Gaza. Not babies. Not mothers. Not innocent civilians. Not bystanders trying to save wounded people. Nor the press. Activists in DC brought a reenactment of spillage of Gaza innocent civilians to the streets of the the White House, where President Joe Biden continues to peddle lies, misinformation and support war crimes with money, abuse of political power and trust, and normalization. This demonstration marks the 44th day-and 60th action-of daily art activism around institutions of power in the U.S. capital that enable and support the ongoing atrocities against the Palestinian people. The art activism movement is organized by me in collaboration with over 700 volunteers.”

Israeli and Western accounts continue their campaign of doubting the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza due to the ongoing war since October 7th, through the hashtag “Pallywood”, most of which accuses Palestinians of fabricating their injuries and martyrs by creating theatrical scenes.
