The occupation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ assertion that white phosphorus was not used in Gaza is misleading.

In a statement on the BBC’s Trending program, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that allegations about the use of white phosphorus by Israel in its aggression against Gaza and southern Lebanon were unfounded.

The Palestinian Observatory “Tahaqaq” and the Tunisian platform “Falsaw” halted the validity of Israel’s foreign statement regarding the non-use of white phosphorous in the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the statement was found to be misleading, with several media outlets monitoring Israel’s occupation of white phosphorous in its bombing of the Strip, also “Sky News Arabic” reported the occupation bombing of Gaza’s port with internationally forbidden phosphorous missiles.

Footage recorded by the “Arabia” and “Al Ghad” channels demonstrated the use of white phosphorous in the bombing of civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and confirmed it.

Through “X”, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the Israeli occupation of using white phosphorus, which is prohibited by international law, against Palestinians in the Karama area in northern Gaza.

Note that white phosphorous bombs are a type of incendiary munition consisting of white phosphorus, a solid wax material that is easy to burn, it is considered an internationally prohibited weapon according to the 1980 Geneva Convention for the Armed Forces in Populated Areas, the Convention prohibits the use of white phosphorus as an incendiary weapon against humans and the environment.
