Hebrew channels on the Telegram app circulated an image of a body wrapped in a white shroud with the title: “The fabrication and lies in Gaza, the dead rise among the living to perform their duties”.
The Palestinian Observatory “Tahaqaq” doubted the authenticity of the circulated image. Through research in public sources, it was revealed that the image is old and belongs to a child who participated in a Halloween costume contest held by a famous Halloween costume store in Thailand in 2022.
The child chose to wear an outfit resembling a shroud as part of the costumes in the competition.
Subsequently, the image was re-circulated in recent times by accounts and groups on social media, with a context of irony, saying, “When you die but forget to delete your tweets”.
Thus, we confirms that the image has no connection to the current events in Gaza Strip.
